About Craig Gimler

Craig Gimler earned his Bachelor of Science in Health Psychology at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences in 2015. He then furthered his medical expertise, earning his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Bryant University in 2020.

Craig’s personal philosophy of care is to treat patients with the respect that every individual deserves. He was inspired to become a physician because he truly enjoys helping people return to a standard of life that they were used to living.

Outside of work, Craig enjoys playing golf, hiking, and spending time with his family and dogs.

  • First of all, I would like to say that the nurses I saw who took my blood pressure and just kind of introduced me to what Craig was going to be talking about, both were very efficient, they were kind and understanding about my blood pressure. The other thing I want to say is Craig really listened to me and made sure I understood everything that was going to be going on with my knee replacement surgery and he was kind enough to be very patient with the questions that I had. That's it.

He provided necessary instructions on how to proceed with caring for my incision and hip.   • The PA that I saw today listen to my concerns an answered my questions. He came up with hopefully a solution to the problem we were discussing.. He did a referral to another specialist and hopefully will get my issue resolved. He was very nice today.

  • I waited longer in the exam room than I was seen by this provider. Didn't even offer the options of having new xrays or scans to see how my knee is progressing. He moved my knee forward and backwards, then offered SYNVISC, I asked one question about if it didn't work what my options would be and he mentioned surgery then walked out of the exam room. This to me is not good care. Never asked me how I was feeling. My copay is 45.00 and i spent 5 minutes with him, very disappointed

  • I was seen in a timely manner. The gentleman that brought me to my room brought me in quickly. The next gentleman came in. He looked at me, talked to me, answered my questions, told me what was going on in an informative way. They did x-rays, which was done quick. I was in and out. All my questions were answered. I was taken very good care of. The office visit was done within a half hour. It was perfect.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
